Hey everyone. I just joined to see if anyone could help me out with figuring out whats wrong my camry. I have a 1995 camry LE with the 3.0l v6. Its been having an issue with having a super low rough idle in the beginning. i have to feather the gas to keep it alive. Once ive been driving for about a minute or two it idles perfectly fine. It drives fine otherwise and have no other issues i cant figure out. It has this idle issue randomly though. some days it runs fine and other days i have to deal with the low idle in the beginning. It doesnt seem to matter if its warm or cold outside or if the engine is warm or cold. Sometimes ill drive around, and stop and get gas. Then it will have the issue on start up and go away shortly after. Its not throwing any codes that I know of also. Not sure what the deal is and figured id come check out a camry forum, and see if anyone else knows what it might be.

 

Clean IAC valve and throttle body. Uube has videos on doing this.

Check the ETC sensor. This sensor sends coolant water temp to the ECU. If bad, the idle can be off.
