The arm rest lid to my center console has fallen off. I have called all the auto recycler places in town and nobody has anything. I have looked online and everything I have found isa generic. Do I need to replace the whole console or can I just get a new insert with the hinges on the lid? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

 

What do you mean by generic? Is it just aftermarket, but still designed to fit a Camry? Or is it truly generic (i.e. it is supposed to fit virtually any car)?

I don't see why you couldn't get just the lid, although I just did a quick five-minute web search and I see what you mean about it being hard to locate.

What about this posting? It's just one that I happened to find in myquick search. I know that it's advertised as fitting a '98 and '99; however, I wonder if it'll fit your '97 also. It might be worth checking into.

By generic I mean that the console is meant to fit any car, it is not specifically for a Camry.
