1997 Toyota Camry Cigarette Lighter / Power Outlet not working
Hey All!
This is my first post! I live in Seattle and own a 1971 Volvo 140, as well as a couple 70s motorcycles. I'm extremely comfortable working on cars and bikes (rebuilt the engine on the Volvo, completely rewired the motorcycles), but for the life of me I can not figure out what is up with the power for the lighter/outlet. I pulled off the cover for the console, and there was wiring plugged in for each of the sockets for the lighter/outlet. I checked the fuses and they were fine. I'm not sure next steps to tracing this down. This is the wife's car, so I don't have a workshop manual for it at the moment, and haven't been able to find one online. If somebody could hit me up with an interior wiring diagram, that would probably help a ton.
My next steps would probably be to check at each of the fuse locations to see if power is getting TO those fuses. If it is, then we know it's somewhere between the fuse and the lighter. Is there a ground point that you know is reliable in that area?
I also think there's a possibility that I got the fuse location wrong - anybody have a fuse diagram I could use for this?
Thanks all!
