Default 1999 Camry LE question.

Hello,

New to the forum, need some advice.

Thinking of purchasing a 1999 Camry LE from a local dealer. Car runs well with 134000 miles on it. Did run a carfax report, only one previous owner with no red flags.

Anything special to look out for before possibly buying? I have read of some oil gelling/engine issues, and without knowing exact past maint. I am a little concerned.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks!

The only real way to inspect for sludge is to look inside the engine. One way is remove the valve cover and take a look. Removing the oil fill cap wont do.

Make sure the trans fluid has been changed, trans shifts smoothing, etc.
