2000 2.2L stalled, restarted runs very rogh
Hey guys, have a friend of mine with a 2000 Camry with 125,000 on the clock. she was driving it home the other day, highway speeds. Car died just dropped flat, no warning. pulled over and finally got it restarted but it ran so rough she was afraid to drive it, so she had it towed. Its now in the driveway and she wants me to get it fixed. By no means am i a mechanic but i can get my hands dirty. problem is there are no codes and not sure were to start. Crank sensor( probably not since it starts, cam sensor MAF . timing belt??? any help would be so appreciated.
thanks in advance

I suggest picking up some kind of service manual to aid in diagnosing. A Haynes manual is reasonably good and low cost.
With a low cost VOM meter you check electrical components.
It is possible a timing belt can slip a tooth, a tooth breaks off. If a broken belt the engine would not start.
The sensors you noted can be checked with an ohm meter. The engine has a MAP sensor not a MAF sensor which seldom fails.
As is it usual fuel or ign. Check for strong ign spark on all cylinders.
My guess is a fuel pump, the Haynes manual will be of assistance here.
