2015 Camry Intuitive Parking Assist
Hello everyone,
This is my first post to the forum.
Has anyone figured out how to install the Toyota Intuitive Parking Assist system in a US 2015 Camry XLE? Apparently, this system is sold with the 2015 Camrys elsewhere (I check in TIS, and it is included in the 2015 Camry service manual), but not in the US.
I would dearly love to have this system in my car, because I find it difficult to judge how close I am in front to another car or other obstacle.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

You can check the manual to determine where to look for the sensor and computer wiring. If there, you have a start.
Even if Toyota offers this feature on other US models plus non-US Camry the electronics may be programmed and built differently. Parts used on other models are available but Toyota is not going to assist you on the integration. The dealer may not even have the capability to reprogram US Camry as this option was not offered.
You might consider installing a third party system from companies such as autosonar.com. At $99 for the back up sensor kit, you will never beat this in terms of time and money spent trying to convert the Camry over, even if possible.
