Default 87 washer pump doesn't run

I have tested the pump, runs ok. Getting 12v with key on and the wipers will turn on when the washer switch is activated. The question is, when using the spray function, are the wipers activated by the washer switch through the washer control module, or through the regular wiper contacts? Per the schematic, it would appear that when spraying the only switch closure is the sprayer into the control module and ground. Any thought? An update, I am not getting the ground side of the circuit even though it appears to be getting to the washer control module.

When you push the button the negative wire to the pump is connected to ground. The switch also connects the wiper circuit to the ground. The wiper contacts are there to park the arms in the right location.

There is a line on the schematic called "d" that this ties to. I am assuming this is a ground junction point. The FSM indicates this is located at the bottom of the left pillar. There are several circuits that also tie to this point so I don't think this is the issue. What is the routing of the harness carrying the wires for the washer pump? Is it the bundle that runs over the radiator? Regards and happy 4th.

Find the white/black wire from the wiper/washer combo switch and unplug it. Determine if white/black chassis wire it connects to is grounded.

Not everyone would do this but I am going to admit that I was a dope. What I thought was the spray function was actually the Mist function. I didn't realize that her spray function was actually the push button on the end of the stalk. I thought it was like my car where you pulled it back it would spray the windshield and lrun the wipers. It works as it should. I appreciate the help.....

Glad you figured it out.

When the washer button is pushed the negative wire of the pump is routed to ground location D via the wiper/washer control arm circuit. Power is also routed to the wiper motor intermediate circuit. The wiper motor wiring would linked the park switch in the motor. Thus when the washer button is pushed two separate circuits are activated. The pump and motor having their own ground points.
