Hi everyone. I have an 89 toyota camry that's developed a gas leak. It looks like the gas is dripping off of the filler neck, onto the back left suspension, then onto the ground. I jacked up the car to have a better look. The dripping stopped which makes me think the gas poured into the tank away from the filler neck.

So I have two questions. What's likely happened here? Is there a rubber gasket somewhere in there that's gone bad? The only rubber parts I could see were for brackets that attach it to the car. But there might be a gasket or rubber hose segment in there I can't see.

Second, where's a good place to get this kind of stuff on the north side of chicago? or maybe internet/mail order? This isn't exactly a set of brake pads. I'd hate to get it from the dealer. And there aren't many junkyards around here. Even a junk yard might not have 20 year old car anymore.
