91' turn signal noise
When I put my turn signal on to turn left and then make the left turn I hear a buzzing noise around the dash area. Has this happened to anyone before. thanks

I also have a 91 which makes an odd 'electrical' buzzing sound when I flip the turn signal for a right turn. The sound comes from under the dash, near the round relays. But it does not happen everytime. If I pull the turn signal lever firmly, then I usually do not have it. If I move it softly I generally will have the noise. I figured its related to dirty contacts in the turn signal lever on the steering column. With the car off, and the key out of the ignition, remove the 6 screws underneath the steering column holding the plastic covers. Removed the covers and sprayed contact cleaner onto the mechanism next to the stem. Put a rag underneath so the fluid does not stain your carpet and let the fluid to evaporate for a while (15 minutes?) so no flamable liquid is around when you turn on the ignition This improved the situation but did not completely eliminate it. But good enough for me. Bottle of contact cleaner costs AU$25 so its a relatively costly fix but I'll use the can for other projects in the future.
