92 Camry won't start
Hey folks,
new guy here with a problem. My daughter's 92 Camry was pretty dirty in the engine compartment so I washed it. It turns over and is getting gas but it appears to not get a spark. It is a 2.2 motor with an auto. Any recommendations on what to check?
Thanks,
Kevin

Remove distributor cap and blow out with compressor or just let it sit overnight in a dry place. Also remove wires and blow out the connection to plugs and cap. Your wires may also be old and cracked (it is a 92 after all) which will allow water to get in, letting them dry will also help. Not sure what you used to wash but usingpressure washer will forcewater into a lot of places, it may also have cut an old wire connection as well. I'd dry it ourfirst and look to replacing wires and plugs if its been a while.
If you used a pressure washed of any kind or even have really good water pressure. Check the fuse boxes in the engine bay. They are supposed to be water tight but, are not intened to stand up to high pressure sources of water. If there is water in this area as pedro stated blow it out with a compressor.
