93 camry 4cyl auto. diff fluid type
I am doing the differential and axles on a 93 camry because a seal broke and the fluid ran out and burned up the old differential. I need to know the EXACT fluid typ ethat fills the differential up. It is a 1993 Camry LE with a 4cyl auto trans. No abs.
The diff uses the same type of fluid as the trans (should be stamped on trans dipstick).
This would be Dexron II or the later III. Note: GM is no longer licensing Dexron III (a GM trade name product) and you most likely will not find in on the shelf. The replacement is typically called "ATF" fluid, the bottle would state it is a replacement for Dexron II and III.
The fluid is red about a 10 weight oil.
