95 4cyl - replacing fuel injectors?
I am wondering if it's possible to replace the fuel injectors on the 5sfe engine w/out completely removing the intake manifold. I've printed the FSM for the car, and it calls for a very long process including draining all the coolant, disconnected every hose related to the intake and throttle body, removing the entire intake manifold, then finally getting at the fuel rail so that you can replace injectors.
I can tell that it's a very tight fit, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to do the work w/out pulling the manifold off of there? Has anyone tried?
What it I left the TB attached to the intake and just pulled it away from the motor a few more inches?
Anyone have any tips for me?
Thanks

I have never done this but after looking at my car am pretty sure removing the entire intake manifold is the only way to get at the fuel rail. You may be able to leave the throttle body attached to the intake but that's about all. Maybe someone else can help whose actally done this. As to replacing the injectors you might try sending them to a professional inspection/testing/cleaning shop at much better price than replacement. I have used Witch Hunter injector service who give great service.
