Default 96 camry cranks but wont start

Hey guys. My girlfriend threw a rod through the block on her '96 2.2L I swapped in a new motor from a '95 and changed the oil pump to accept the crank sensor. I'm not getting any spark at the coil and I've done voltage and continuity tests and the igniter, coil, crank sensor, distributor, and ECM. Everything has checked out so far. I'm stumped. Any thoughts?

What other parts did you swap out such as the distributor?

Did you check to make sure the time belt on the new engine was still OK?

Timing belt is new, and I swapped everything over to the new motor from the old one (I purchased the long block.) I put all new gaskets and seals throughout the motor. I'm trying to pinpoint the problem without throwing parts at it blindly.

You installed the crank sensor but how about its mating timing gear part on the crankshaft?
