My 4 cyl. hestitates intermittently under light acceleration and sometimes at idle (more so with A/C turned on). Seems to be worse in hot weather. New plugs and wires. No check engine lights. Could it be coil pack related? Suggestions?

 

If your engine requires the dual ground electrode type plugs from the factory, be sure that you use the exact type when you replace them or it may cause ignition related problems. Try allowing your engine to run at idle for a while (even if it misfires)- then remove and inspect your spark plugs. If one of them is wet or even a bit oily, that cylinder is likely to be your problem.

no check engine light eliminates alot of things i would think more along the lines of maybe a timing issue. when was your timing belt changed? could it have slipped?
