Air Conditioner for 2001 Camry
Has anyone had this happen. My camry a/c was working fine then the a/c button started flashing. I pushed the button to turn the a/c off and then turned it back on and it started working again. It did it again about 15 minutes later and I turned it off and tried to turn it back on. It would not turn on. Do you think it may be low on freon? I have not hooked up my gauges yet so I don't know if that would be the answer. Does anyone else have experience with this problem.

Theres a TSB for this problem involving an updated AC clutch relay. Aparently, there's too much of a voltage drop across this relay causing your AC clutch to slip. The revolution sensor in the compressor senses this slippage and shuts down the AC for safety (at which point the light starts to flash). The new relay is a different color. Easily accessible for the average DIY'er in the engine junction block.

Yes, you need to replace A/C relay!
I had the same problem, I replaced cabin filter like some other post said and did nothing. The flashing went away until I replaced the A/C relay ($13.00 from Advance Auto).

re-gas
I'm not sure if this applies to your car as well. But my friend's Toyota Picnic had the same problem and he just "re-gassed" it. I have read also from another forum that there might be some leaks on the gauges in cases like that so just go try to check it out. Oftentimes the solutions to Toyotas parts
problems are just the same.
problems are just the same.
