I have searched and can't find this described.

My wifes Camry: 2001 V6, 140,000 miles

Problem: Engine Hum while driving. I thought at first it sounded like the car needed to change gears and it was just high RPM's we were hearing. After driving it with her it doesnt seem to relate to the RPM's.

The sound is present at all speeds. It is loudest 65-70mph and then a little less after that. Never goes away completely. Tried revving the engine in the garage and this does not cause the sound.

Anyone have this happen or have any ideas?

The sound is not related to RPM.

How about MPH?

Is the sound present when the car is not moving?

Have you tried driving 65-70 MPH and letting off on the gas?
