Automatic trans life?
With a 4cyl. 2.0 2nd generation, on average how many miles would the trans last with proper scheduled oil changes
searched and found no answer?

Can only speculate.
If oil changes, no towing, the car is not used as city taxis (lots of stop and go). It should last as long as the engine which is 300,000+.

Thats engouraging, so not the end of the world if i get a car with 200,000mi .
I know head gaskets dont last. my 82 yota pu was bad when i bought it at 154000mi and got to 250000 when it blew. ...

Depends on if the trans fluid was changed prior to 200K.
Don't overheat the engine and the head gasket should be OK.
