Default driveline lash

Hi I recently purchased a 2009 Camry and notice that whenI press the gas after I have been coasting I feel and hear a little clunk coming from driveline. What is this?

could be the transmission downshifting. I have to assume it has very few miles on it bing an 09. Try this . . shut the overdrive off and then coast down a hill and step on the gas and see if it still clunks.

it has automatic overdrive so I can't shut OD off. When I am coasting and then apply gas I feela smallclunkfrom thedriveline. It is almost like two gears are hitting each other. I have read some info onsomething called driveline lash and some say it is thenormal operation of car and is just slack being taken up in driveline when gas is applied. I just want to make sure, because car only has 5000 miles.

Then it sounds like you know more that me about it. If it had a 100k or so I would say look at motor mounts or cv joints. My 93 camry does the same thing but it is because of overdrive.
