Default Found part in trans oil pan

Dropped my pan first time to change strainer and flush fluid 220K miles. Found small aluminum part when pan dropped. It is approximately the size and shape of a paint can nozzle. The narrow shaft looks like it is broken off. Car seems fine with new fluid and filter. Any idea what I found?

has the box has been working well --no problems

how many solenoids did you see when the pan was off

to me it maybe from the valve body section

we maybe able to find exploded views of these boxes once we track down the right box fitted to your 6 cyl engine

Trans may be a A540E. Look on side of drivers door for sticker listing various items including trans model. A540E or H, A541E.

Appears like a plug for a hole in the valve body but incomplete. Check the small diameter end of part. If possible determine if the shaft end looks machined or appears to have snapped off what would be a longer part.

Any other items in the pan such as a small, thin rectangle shaped item?
