Had a P0171 check engine light code, now it's a P0101
Two weeks ago, I got a P0171 check engine light code (Air/Fuel Mixture System Lean Bank 1) for my 2007 Toyota Camry SE when I had the guys at Meineke scan it. My mechanic at Hi Five Auto Care, after looking at the car, told me they'd have to replace the mass air flow sensor and fuel pump.
So they did, but a day later the light came back on. I reset the light manually by disconnecting my battery, but a day later it came back on again. When I got the light checked at AutoZone, they said that they read the following codes:

- P0101: Mass Air Flow Circuit Range / Performance Problem
- CS1249: Open circuit in stop light switch circuit
- U0073: Control Module Communication Bus OFF

P0101 Problems with MAF sensor, engine air intake system, PCV hose. The MAF sensor has a problem or there are intake air leaks or a blockage in the intake air system.
C1249 The computer is not seeing a signal from the brake system. Start by checking if the brake lights work. Could be bad wiring, a wiring connection/harness plug, stop light switch, faulty ABS/traction control actuator.
U-0073 This means the computer is not communicating with the other items on the car. Bad wiring, harness connection or module Kind of like a bad internet connection. The car uses a multiplex system which allows communication between the various electrical items on the car using the same wiring.
My guess??? is the repair shop repair process did something to set off these codes. Perhaps something wrong with the air intake system which was removed. The shop failed to reconnect all the wiring or disconnected a wire by mistake.
Take it back to the shop..
