Default Hard time starting my 1998 Camry when Hot!

My '98 has 69k on it and has been flawless until now. I'm having a hard time restarting it when it is hot. It seems to want to start up but then dies right away. If I give it gas or keep my foot on the pedal it starts right up. I'd really like to fix it myself but I've no clue what might be causing this. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem with my 1997 Camry. No one could figure it out. So I finally went to this retired mechanic and he adjusted something under the hood near the windshield. He said GEO's had the same problem. It was like some adjustment for the idle. The car would turn over but it wouldn't keep running unless I quick tapped the gas. He said remember when you had an older car years ago and you needed to adjust the idle because it was idling too slow? I said yes and he said well it is kind of like that. I haven't had the problem since. Sorry I can't be techincal about it.

I think it could be your IAC need cleaning and your butterflytoo, use TBI cleaner can. Or at least an idle adjustment? The picture shows what to clean, you could clean most of it without removing the TBI and still on the car. The link is for Toyota manuals online (Adobe), thanks to toyotanation.com.

I had this problem with my 98 camry you may want to also clean the MAF(mass air flow sensor) which plugs into the intake right near the air filter.
