Is this the 2001?

Does the car have auto off lights?

Are you sure the lights are the problem?

Any after market alarm or stereo system installed?

Is the trunk light turning off when lid closed?

How old is the battery?

Have you checked the battery connections?

If equipped with auto light off, when the ign key is off and the driver’s door opens the head and taillights turn off when the light switch is on.If the negative terminal was loose the battery may not be fully charging.

Tighten battery terminals. Charge the battery up. When parking the car turn the headlight, etc off.

If you have a milli-amp meter can check for parasitic current drain when the car is parked. Place the meter between the battery terminal and negative battery connector. The internet would have info on how to do this.
