Hello, I am a newbie here so please bear with me if need be.
My '00 Solara SLE with Automatic Climate Control recently changed to heater mode and started blowing Hot air. The temperature control **** had no effect so appears to not be working either. Just prior to this happening I turned on the rear defroster [ not sure if related ]. I disconnected / reconnected the battery and the heater turned off but I suspect this will happen again.
Would changing out the control panel ' cure ' this problem or is there more to the system for temperature control and selection.
Any help would be much appreciated. I live in the Houston area and it is a bit early to need the heater.
