Ignition key sticking in 2016 Camry
My daughters room mate has an issue with the ignition Key sticking in housing and will not come out easily unit it wants to!
She tried turning the steering wheel, moving the shifter and nothing seems to be the issue. I told her to try WD-40 contact cleaner because it may be dirty and the cleaner will clean and evaporate. Anyone had this issue??
Please advise...
thanks

WD-40 is not a cleaner and will attract dirt. Use a key lube that comes in a small spray can with a small nozzle to place into the key slot and spray. The key cylinder can be removed for cleaning. Youtube has videos'.

I considered contact cleaner but the lock is sill inside the cylinder. Might consider graphite in a spray can with the small plastic nozzle that can be placed inside lock. The liquid that carries the graphite will flush out debris and evaporate leaving the graphite in place. It's also called dry lube. Works well but can leave a dark stain from the graphite thus watch where you spray it.
