Default new to camrys, need easy help on a 98

hello everyone, i am new to camrys as well as to this forum, i am most likely going to by a 1998 camry LE automatic 4cylinder with 121k on it and i would like to know if there are any particular parts on camrys that go bad by this mileage (ie transmission) any help is appreciated and thank you in advance

if the car has never been raced, modified, and HAS been properly maintained at all service intervals, then you're looking at a camry with probably no problems besides exterior damage from sun, other cars, and perhaps a careless owner (who keeps the internals nice...).

I have TWO 1999 Camrys- both 2.2 and both of them had to got their Catalytic Converter done @ 90K because of a rotten smell (SULFUR) when you go over 3,500-4,000 RPM. Buy the rear bolt on- not the entire pre-cat and piping..das too much. hahaha.

i just boughtthe same camry you did same year and everything at 150,000 miles and the car does work fine everything is great but it did fail emmisions and still have to fix it but besides that i think you looking at a great car, MAKE sure the check engine light isn't on. if its not it should work like newused

I had a 94 and now have a 97 with the 2.2 both over 200k miles. Only thing I had to do on both of them was change the crank and cam seals when I put new timing belts in them from minor leaking. Your car should be good to go for a long time with that kind of mileage.

Dont buy a rear bolt on cat. By the one from the dealer and pay the extra money you will save in the long run trust me

Make sure the timing belt and water pump have been done, and change the trans fluid allso.
