Default No fuel

I just recent replaced all the fuel lines and the tank on my 93 camry. Went to fire it up today and it doesn't start. The fuel level gauge is also reading empty although I put in half a tank of gas. I took the fuel pump from my old tank and put it in the new tank, it worked fine in the old tank. Where can I find the fuse for the fuel pump? I am thinking it has to do with the pump since neither the motor is getting fuel nor the gauge is reading the level, so its gotta be electrical. I checked the conenctor and it looks fine, any ideas?

The pump and fuel tank sender on different electrical circuits.

The fuel pump is ultimately powered by the on EFI fuse, the sender the Gauge fuse.

The fuel pump itself is powered by the Circuit Opening Relay. This relay is turned on by either a signal from the starter circuit (starter) or a signal from the ECU that confirms the engine is running (the ign system is operating).

The pump will not run if the engine is not cranking or running.

There is a small plastic box inside the engine compartment, typically mounted on the passengers side shock tower. Inside the box are electrical terminals. The fuel pump can be "jumped started" by connecting the B+ terminal and FP terminals and turning on the ign switch.

Check the wiring and any wiring differences between the old and new pump and sensor.

Power to the pump may be through a Blue/Black wire, ground is White/Black.

Fuel sender wire may be Yellow/Blue. Remember the fuel gauge system also has a sensor that triggers the low fuel light on the dash. Might be Yellow/Red. Brown might be ground.

OK I made a little progress last night. I remembered that when I was dropping the tank I didn't disconnect the fuel pump wiring first, so the wires were pulled a bit (I am used to my Mustang where you have to drop the tank to get at the pump wiring, didn't realize the Camry had the access panel under the rear seat). I followed the wiring back a few inches under the carpet and found a secondary connector, seems like it pulled itself out. So now I can get fuel up to the fuel filter at least, cause it was leaking there, so I re-tightened the lines there.

I accidentally locked the keys in the car last night, so I have to get into the car before I can try again. Even though I got fuel to the filter the fuel level gauge still didn't move.

BTW, the pump I put in the tank is from this car, I grabbed the tank from the donor car and put the current pump in it, so I know it will work with this car and I know it worked prior to the swap cause I drove the car into the garage when I started. This is why it puzzles me. But I;m getting there, thanks for the help, we'll see what happens today.

ok got the car running, turned out to be just the pump connector had come loose, the fuel level gauge is now reading as well, guess its just slow to move, took a few minutes for it to get up to half a tank which is just about right for how much fuel I put into the tank, thanks guys.
