Is this normal?
I've noticed that after driving for a while, and I get home and park my car (without turning it off), I would hear a sound like a fan blowing hard for about 5 sec coming from under the hood. Then it would stop. Is this normal? If so, what is it? And why does it do it? If it's not normal, what would be the reason for it?
Also, after driving for a while as well, I hear a dripping sound (like water drops hitting a metal kitchen sink) coming from the muffler section. Should this be cause for concern?
Thanks in advance.

has it been kinda warm? the fan turns on when you're stopped because either your a/c is running or the car has reached a certain temp and needs the fan to circulate air so the radiator can cool the engine and other parts down. it is completely normal. In fact on extremely hot days the engine fan(s) may continue to stay on after you have shut off, locked, and have walked away from your car.
the ticking sound you hear is the sound of metal expanding and contracting...also completely normal for most exhaust systems, especially on the camry's.
