I have a 1995 Camry with the 5S-FE engine. It has a little button on the underside of the steering column that when pressed clicks rapidly. After about 10-12 seconds, it unlocks all the doors.

What is this button and what is its purpose?

 

Is the car equiped with an aftermarket alarm system? Does this botton apear to be after market? have you tryed tracing the wires back to see where the lead? And lastly, Do any lightes flash when this happends? report back and I should be able to help you.
