Oil change interval

Oil change interval
1998 Camry - The recommended oil change interval is 5000 miles or 4 months, I believe. If you do not drive much (eg 3000 miles in 4 months), do you still have to adhere to the 4 month rule?

Conventional oil can go 7500 miles, more if all hwy driving. You can change the oil every 6-8 months
If you use a synthetic oil can use a 5W-30, or 0W-30 for colder climate start ups. Change it once a year or 10K miles. If going longer miles between oil changes, get a long mileage filter designed to last longer.

I got an autozone (good one) in 2014, but I have been researching the top-end $90 Walmart battery and that has great reviews. They say there are only a couple of battery manufacturers in the US and all these batteries come from the same production lines. My OEM battery (camry made in Kentucky), was Johnson controls Milwaukee, and Walmart's come from there too I believe...
