Default Which oil pump for 96 2.2?

Just yanked the engine (2.2) out of a 96 Camry (knocking BAAAD!!!) and it was obvious it was starving for oil. I plan on going through it and am debating boring and new pistons or re-ring (car has 114k). The question is the overhaul kits list oil pump with or without crank sensor. This engine had the crank sensor mounted low on the front passenger side and is reading off a toothed piece behind the cam belt drive pulley on the crank snout. Which oil pump do I need? The kits in question say 92-97 Camry 5S-FE.

Are you going to rebuild the engine?

If the listing is for 92-97, the 95 and earlier did not have any remote sensors, hence the choice. Pick with the sensor.

Determine if the oil pump offered comes with the housing it bolts up to. This housing then bolts to the engine block. As such the offering may be both the oil pump and the housing. The housing would then be with or without sensor. You need the sensor option.
