Default power steering

Earlier today I replaced a part of my ps return hose, the smaller 3/8" line. I replaced the line, but I have no ps. Does the ps system need to be bled? If so, what is the procedure?
I replaced the line a couple of weeks ago, but I cut the hose too short, but it worked fine then, just the hose was a little too short & bleeding wasn't necessary. Is it this time? It is a 4 cylinder with a manual transmission. Oh, also just changed the axleshafts as well & then changed the ps return line while it was on the jackstands. Maybe I did something wrong?

Check fluid level.

Turn steering wheel full rotation in each direction to bleed air.

Lifted frontend off ground & removed ps reservoir lid, & turned steering wheel lock to lock for a couple of minutes. Power steering again! Thanks!
