I have an 02 camry and the steering wheels are turning freely under load. The steering turns but the wheels doesn't. This is only under load and when the car is moving slowly. You actually get a grinding feel when it slips. Any clues on what is wrong?

 

Sounds like safety issue, I'd take it to shop. Bad rack, P/S pump?? Checked P/S fluid level?
