Default Removing rear door panel

I have a 2004 Camry and the rear driver side door lock is stuck locked. The door won't open. The lock switch on the door moves but the door won't unlock. You can see the door move a bit when you attempt to open the door. But the lock seems to keep it from opening. Then you must bump against the door to get it completely closed again. I figure I need to remove the door panel to get access to fix it. How is the door panel removed? Can it be done with the door closed? Special tools? Is there another way to get access to the door lock? Any suggestions?

This is for a front door but it should give you a pretty good idea on what to do and look for.

The auto parts store sells a tool specifcally for taking door panels off. It'll save you from breaking all of your clips off.

Toyota guy makes a good point. There are some trim panel removal tools that will really help with this. You also might want to pick up a few new panel clips because they are not very rugged and you are bound to break one. I know from experience!
