Default Replacing Steering Rack Necessary for Power Steering Fluid Leak?

Recently had my oil changed on my 2004 Toyota Camry (71,000 miles) at a Goodyear Auto Service Center and they informed me that I had a power steering fluid leak that would eventually require replacing the complete steering rack - estimate $1100. Its just a slight drip that leaves a little spot on the garage floor once in a while so I know I can just keep an eye on the fluid for a while but isn't there some other way to fix this?? I appreciate any advice!

A new rack is needed if it is leaking internally. Usually this can be noticed from the fluid leaking out of the tie rod boots. Other wise, it is usually a hose. If it gets bad, find a small independent shop to do the work and get best price.

a small leak

leak could be the top seal of the steering rack where it bolt to the steering wheel
that not too expensive to replace with rack in the car

if just 0 rings on the pipe joins again an easy fix

if the price is too high..doesnt have to be a genuine toyota part
ebay and online places
sell Camry steering racks delivered to you door approx $ 220

then just pay labour and shop material to fit . then a wheel alignment
