Angry Smell gas

I have 2002 se and when I turn it off I smell gas coming from the drivers side. Also I have check engine light on. I have change gas cap, sensors, canister and after 300 and 600 miles the check engine light comes back on. Does anyone have an answer as to what it could be?

Did you every get the code(s) read out?

Check gas tank filler tube (for gas pump nozzle) going to the tank for rust through.

Check area around face of filler tube where gas cap seal seats for rust and pitting.

The codes started with sensors then canister last one was the gas cap. They have done to see if there are any leaks so far nothing. I am going to take it back to the mechanic and see what code comes up. I will tell him to check the filler tube.

My gas smell was due to cap not being on tight.
