Unhappy Someone tried to hotwire my 98 camry

1998 Toyota camry, V6, XLE
My car was almost stolen. Someone tried to hotwire it. They twisted these wires together and used a blowtorch to melt the tubing off. I separated the wires and the cars engine will start, but the accessories don't work. Gauges, windows, blinkers, heater/ac. The car doesnt know it on. It won't shift into gear unless you hit the over ride button. I checked all of the fuses and relays and replaced the ones that blew. Still nothing. Rewired all of the melted burnt wires, still nothing. What more could be happening? Something with the anti-theft system? But normally that makes it so the engine doesn't start, but it does. I don't know what all happens when someone tried to hotwire a car so I'm not sure how to back track this. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

You stated you rewired the damage and here all is OK now, then replaced any blown fuses.

If a factory anti-theft it does not turn off power to the windows, blinkers, etc. The theft system effects the fuel injection power. If the engine starts and runs the theft system appears to be working OK.

The shift lockout has an electrical solenoid that now appears not to be energizing.

Do the hazard lights work?

Start with a wiring diagram. Research each electrical item that does not work to find common links such as a common fuse or relay. Check for electrical power starting at the problem item such as a window power wire and work back to where that wire gets power. The wiring is pretty straight forward.

Yes, hazards still work. Things that would work when the car isn't running still work. Brake lights, hazards, door open light/ding, airbag light.

The ign switch is two switches ganged together. There appears to be an issue with one of the switches not getting power or a problem with the circuits after this switch.

If the 100A Alt and Engine Main Relay are OK then check the following:

40A AM1 fuse

Ign switch issues related to the White wire power to switch) and Blue/Red and Black/Yellow wires (power going from the switch)..

The individual fuses for each item that does not work.
