Default Sounded like an exhaust leak then wouldn't accelerate

I noticed my ac blowing harder then softer, then heard what sounded like an exhaust leak. Stopped at a red light, then it wouldn't accelerate at all and my oil and engine light came on. Got towed home and now it seems fine but I'm sure it isnt. Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I'm completely stumped.

Was the engine still running when the oil and engine light came on?

Was the noise from under the engine hood, under the dash?

The crappy part is, I was drunk and my wife was driving. I believe but am not positive, is the motor turned off but the car stayed on. I just got the computer read and it said a coolant temp sensor, so I'm hoping that's the answer. Mine and a friend's thought was front cat and I would sell the car before I pay for that

The lights will come on if the engine quits.

Any other codes with the coolant code?

The exhaust has a section of flexible metal exhaust pipe to connect the exhaust bolted to the engine to the exhaust bolted to the chassis. This pipe can fail and make noise.

Might inspect the engine EGR system for possible exhaust leaks = noise.
