2022 Camry. Android Auto has a hard time connecting to my phone. I have a version 14 OS, I have a new and expensive cable, and of course, I have restarted my phone. When it does connect it appears to be a weak connection that if I go over a speed bump or such a little too fast it disconnects. Some days on my 30-minute commute to work it never connects, ugh. I've spoken to my local Toyota dealership, and they tell me there's nothing they can do. All suggestions are welcome.

 

Sounds like you have a bad connection at one end of your cable. Make sure that the USB connector of your phone is clean, and there is no lint or other debris that could be causing a poor connection. I use AAWireless to connect between my phone and AndroidAuto. Once it is set up, it makes a wireless connection as soon as the phone senses that you are in the car, so no need to plug in a cable each time.

 

I agree with booke02 and I would also try a new cable just to rule that out as a variable.
