Default 07 Camry engine air filter box wouldn't seal

Toyota dealership changed my engine air filter and afterwards, i noticed a gap on the side of the filter box as it did not completely seal. Would this be an issue for my engine such as debris getting in the engine or air leaking out?

The box sealed perfectly before and I took it back to the dealership, they tried to fix it but couldn't and just told me it is normal and shouldn't be an issue, but I am not sure if I should believe them. In the picture, the white part is the engine filter and as you can see the box didn't seal.

2007 Camry with the 6 cylinder engine.

The filter has an integral gasket seal that goes around its outside perimeter. The gasket mates to the top edge of lower filter housing. Take the top cover off the filter box and determine the gasket is sealing with the lower box.
