Default OEM muffler/noise at 2000 rpm

What is the OEM brand muffler? I have 2001 camry LE, and stuck a Davico muffler/resonator on when changing the cat, and now it sounds too noisy. Especially at 2000 rpm.

Or could the problem be something else?

Might be Sango Company as OEM. May not be able to find this brand other then at Toyota.

Try Walker which makes after market mufflers for the car.

Did you remove the rear muffler?

I removed everything (cat, resonator, muffler) passed the upstream cat(manifold). Everything but the manifold was welded together and chunks of it crumbled as I took it off. It's california emissions.

What are you looking for?

Walker and other makers sell complete stock exhaust systems. Toyota would have products made for them.

is the car in California?

If DIY then Walker and other makers sell parts that will bolt up. One can buy all the components online. Check websites such as Rockauto.com. Walker has a website to find what fits. Toyota factory parts will be very expensive and some may be discontinued.

Might start by putting a real muffler on the end of the exhaust like the original setup. Here may need to have a slide on muffler rather then a bolt on as the original exhaust was replaced. The slide muffler slides onto the tail pipe then is secured with a clamp.

Cars registered in California would require factory or CARB approved parts.

An issue might be passing an emissions test if a CAT was removed thus check the states website for what is checked.
