Default 1991 Camry LE V6 (new member)

Hi, I just bought a 1991 Toyota Camry LE V6 with 86,000 miles on it. The car was from Nevada and then brought here to the Midwest 3 years ago. It's a very clean car, no rust or dents and drives very well (will take some getting used to after getting rid on a really nice and reliable 2014 Subaru- no more car payments!).

This morning the check engine light went on for about 20 - 30 seconds then off and hasn't come back on. The car did not drive any different, no sluggishness or bogging. I did fill up the tank yesterday afternoon, could that of had anything to do with the check engine light coming on, maybe I didn't tighten the cap?

Thanks!

A loose fuel cap can cause the light to come on.

Also.

Let the fuel tank level draw down to the previously amount when the light came on. Determine if the light comes on again.
