Hey everybody, brand new here.

Got my hands on a '92 that's been in my family for a while and I've finally gotten motivaed to put my skills to work under the hood.

Could someone suggest a parts catalog for my particular Camry? Summit and JC Whitney seem to be lacking.

Thanks!

I4 or V6 engine.

Stock or performance parts.

The i4 does not have much in the way of performance parts as it was designed for economy.

Just the L4...not looking to get too much oomph out of it, but I do need replacement parts pretty badly.

Not planning too many mods....might throw on a new air intake to get a throatier sound and some better quality plugs and other parts, but mostly I just need to replace stock panels, clips, etc...

i hate it when people say that the i4 (5sfe) can't be made for power...

do a head swap from a 3sge, forge the internals, and put a 3sgte manifold on it. From there you can go with the ct-20, ct-27, or t3/t4 hybrid turbo. 3" pipe back through a high flow cat (http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota...tic_converter/), and you've got yourself a sleeper. People forget that this is the same engine that they put in the celicas. I have it on good authority that the heads are almost perfectly compatable (gotta do a small amount of drilling), the manifold is a direct bolt on, and after just the head swap, a celica with a 5sge in it goes, "like a bat out of hell"

I swear by the 5SFE. it is a strong engine. If you can put on the mods, it will make the power. I did an intake and an exhaust upgrade and it is nice. I have a 5 speed Camry too so that helps. you can find some mods on eBay but some mods can be hard to find. the Toyota 2.2L is bigger than the Honda 1.8L... you do the math. I burn up Civics all day. Some of those VTECs dont back down though, but for not having Variable Valve Timing, the Camry does well. a few more mods and VTEC wont stand a chance. Going to get a new clutch soon, mine is whooped. Hoping to get a turbocharger upgrade in the future. Plenty of room in the engine bay. If you want an idea of how far you can mod your Camry, look up your year or the years your Camry bodystyle was made at www.cardomain.com there are some sick rides.
