Default 1999 toyota camry getting too hot 🔥

Okay, I rebult the 5sfe myself, no issues mechanically at all, the engine is sound cam to crank. Very tight engine, after start up it ran absolutely fine but I wanted to tweak the engine timing and than after that it started to overheat and after driving around it starts to bogg down and stall I'm guessing cuz of the over heating. Tried to put the timing back but no luck, worked on the timing for 2 days 37 hours and It has the same issue no matter where the timing is, it's at TDC rn but still has the same issue, all that is good- headgasket, egr, o2, cam and crank timing, fuel injectors, coil pack, spark plugs, oil levels, radiator and coolant, thermostat, water pump, exhaust pipe, cooling fans, idk what else to check at this point or adjust, has plenty of compression but no power, also think it's running to rich cuz I can smell gas from under the hood, please help can't let her sit any longer

Sounds like it is running rich, did the spark plugs look sooty?
With engine cold, start it and carefully feel the coolant hose after the t-stat to verify the t-stat opens.
Do the fans come on?
