I have a 1st generation Camry 1985 2.0 with a cold start issue, It'll start and die, It takes 4 tries to start but not all the time just most of the time. Parts replaced: cold start time switch, cold start injector, coolant temp switch, connectors, fuel pump, fuel filter and PCM. It certainly seems like the injector isn't firing or its lacking fuel when it doesn't start. Does anyone know if there's a check valve some where in the fuel system or have any ideas?

 

Is the cold start injector actually working?

The fuel pump may have a check valve. You will need to install a pressure gauge to check for leak down pressure.

How is the ign coil?
