Does anyone know If the gas gauge needle is suppose to drop to e when I shut my car off. It's a 2008 toyota camry se. Getting kind of paranoid since my sister says hers does. Just want to make sure my sending unit isn't going bad. Thanks

 

Since the ign key is off, the issue would be the gauge design. Some gauge needles float while others return to zero.

Have sister take note of the typical miles driven per tank. Then as a back up have her keep track of this on the trip meter.
