I have a problem. My 2001 camry 2.2 auto car blew a piston rod on me. I replaced it with a local engine off a 98 camry. Not knowing that the wiring harness was different, I connected the 98 wire harness and there are 2 plug that wont plug into my 01 camry ecm (01 harness was burned, so couldnt use it). All the sensors around the engine plug in, except the 2 plugs for the ecm. Trying to find a wire harness from a 00-01 camry is hard as heck. Does anybody have any idea if I could attach or cut the 98 wire harness plugs off and attach the 01 wire harness plugs on? or is that not going to be compatible with one another? or does anyone on the internet make adapters from 0d1 to 0b2 kits? Please do let me know. I thought I didnt need the two plugs on the 98 wire harness to plug into my 01 ecm, but than i read and those two plugs, control the electrical stuff on the harness to give spark. Car is cranking but has no spark at all...all electrical parts are in working condition....please let me know....
