Camry stalling has the mechanic stumped
Hi. I purchased my Camry last June and have put around 40000 miles on it since then. It has been a great car and the only repairs I had to do to it were new coil packs, new ignition and spark plugs. Has had oil changes regularly. I drove it to Little Rock Arkansas from Kansas 3 weeks ago. It drove down and back great. I arrived in Kansas City and had some errands to run so I parked. Came back outside and it would not start, but would turn over. Let it sit for a while and it started, and I began trying to drive it to my in laws and it died again. Had it towed and the mechanic there said that my mass air flow and air filter were dirty. They cleaned them and I drove the four hours home. Two days later it stalled again, it was a hot day both days it stalled. Had it towed home again, mechanics got in there and looked at the fuel pump, alternator, battery, computer, you name it, nothing was out of the ordinary. Didn’t throw any codes but when it stalled the engine light, oil light, battery light, steering wheel with an ! Next to it, all came on. Both mechs ice drove it around town numerous times on hot days and it would not die. On top of that they let it run from 9 am to 5 pm with a diagnostic computer on it, and nothing happened. I feel like I’m am driving a time bomb. Any ideas? I miss driving my car.
