Default Hello everyone I have a 1992 Camry LE with no rust

The reason i came here I think I did something stupid. My father in law asked me to put a new engine is his 1994 it has a 2.2 - when i seen it completely out it had to 4-5 inch holes both sides of the block. Well I never put a 2.2 in before. But I have worked on many cars in my life so i though oh well this will be easy. I think I was wrong. The salvage yard found us low mileage crate engine but its a 1996. The engine is in. I have not tried to do anything as of yet. I just got out the hospital yesterday for my heart. He called me to today telling me i might have a problem due to OBDI and OBDII. So here i am...

Also note: I love my Camry it has almost on 336,000 miles on original motor and recently put in new timing belt tentioner, oil pump, water pump. It runs fantastic. I am new to the forum so admins you are welcome to move me in the area where i might find these answers. Or because of me saying i could do this it is my responsibility to fix this problem. Maybe have to buy a new engine or give up my camry.

BtW I am Troy from Wisconsin
