Default Hey guys I’m new!

Hey guys I’m new to this forum I own a 2002 Wrx bugeye sedan that I’m building atm and it’s stanced obviously and I purchased a bone stock 03’ Toyota Camry xv30 I want to buy coilovers from maxpeeding rods as I’m doing somewhat of a budget build because this car is only strictly my daily so want it to look nice and stance it abit

I can only find 02 Camry xv20 coilovers
or lexus es300 01

what coilovers can I use? Also I think my wheel bearing may be out? When I drive my steering wheel vibrates and moves left and right like it’s possessed and I hear what sounds like wind and when I drive over 100kmph it gets worse the sound but doesn’t vibrate as much and when I brake it shakes also so can this be wheel bearing or just a wheel alignment?

Is the chassis the same between cars thus the suspension part fit also?

If shaking when braking then check for front rotor problems.

Non-US market cars can have different model year runs.

XV20 Aussie appears to be 1996-2002.

XV30 appears to be Sept 2001 to 2006.

Check for model info stamped on the chassis on a sticker drivers door edge.

Loud noise?

A roar? Perhaps that gets louder with KMPH. When the oar occurs, when in a safe driving area (straight road and no cars around) move the steering wheel slightly left then right. This will shift the cars weight to one side of the other. If the roar sound changes as in gets louder or softer suspect wheel bearing.

Highly suggest you raise each tire one at time and check for rim/tire play. Grab tire at 3 and 6 o'clock and try to twist it rapidly, One side in while the other out. Check for excess tire/rim play as from a bad wheel bearing.

Also inspect each tire. A tire can have a bulge, separated ply, out of round causing shaking.

Inspect rim for damage..

two front tyres got replaced the steering wheel is straight and all good

but I still hear this noise that sounds like the wheel rotating and I hear what sounds like wind (all windows are closed) and it starts from 60 and gets louder at 100

and when you pull the clutch in you hear it perfectly like literally wind mixed with a tyre I could be tripping but my 2021 Mazda CX-5 doesn’t do it nor does my 2002 Wrx that’s got some decent power

I have the xv30’ 2004 Toyota Camry 2.4L 2AZ I assume I got it dirt dirt cheap just need registration and fix this issue and then it’s coilovers rims & tyres stance it but I want to know if the other 01-02 Camry coilovers will fit ?

Try the steering wheel test. Could be a bad wheel bearing.

Determine if the replacement struts and you car are in the same generation of Camry. If so the suspension should be the same.

i just let my mechanic take my car for a day or two and he will sort it out … the coilovers are only in America so what would be $500 for cheap coilovers will be $1,000 for me + customs tax as mentioned above I can only find maxpeeding rods for those cars mentioned above but would either of them work with my car? Thanks
