Default How to program 06 camry chip key

Hi, i bought 2 chip keys on amazon had them cut and brought them home. I went on line and found how to program them. The video said to get in car close door, put original key in ignition 5 times then leave in on 5th time, open door 6 times, then pull out original and put in new key, wait about 1 min security light will go off when programed, this did not work do i have to go to locksmith and have them use machine or is there another way

Is this the video?

Any thing happen with the blinking light as per video?

Are you using the Master Key?

Comments state it did work for 2006 Camry.

It appears some aftermarket keys may not work.

Master key will open all locks. Valet key will not open trunk and glove box.

Information is conflicting if 2006 ign key feature can be programmed without going to a locksmith or dealer. There might be two different systems used. If the key has the remote lock feature, this can be programmed by car owner.

Review links below on security light blinking and type of key. Can try the methods listed, make sure you use the one for ADDING an additional Master key. Not delete keys.

If nothing works, try dealers or locksmiths having equipment to do the job.

Shop around for best pricing as can vary greatly!! between dealers.
